KID THOMAS' ALGIERS STOMPERS - At the Emporium of Jazz 1969 - Double CD

KID THOMAS' ALGIERS STOMPERS - At the Emporium of Jazz 1969 - Double CD
CD / Product Number: 504CD72

First release of a recording of Kid Thomas' Algiers Stompers made at the Emporium of Jazz in Mendota, Mn during the annual Festival when musicians from New Orleans would come down to guest in the town. It was a terrific line-up as Kid Thomas was joined by the rarely recorded Harry Shields on clarinet together with Louis Nelson on trombone, Emanuel Paul tenor sax, Butch Thompson piano, Joseph (Twat) Butler on string bass, Charles Hamilton on banjo and Sammy Penn on drums.
There are 19 tracks over 2 CDs. Great stuff!
