Gregg Stafford - That Man from New Orleans, Vol. 2
It's remarkable that one hundred years have passed siince the development of New Orleans jazz, yet the music remains vibrant and healthy today! this is in part due to the remarkable work of an informed and dedicated group of people, who beginning from the 1940s searched out the forgotten men responsible for inventing and developing the music. Gregg Stafford is one of a group of black men to have begun performing at Preservation Hall to carry on the New Orleans tradition. This concert was recorded live at the Silverleaf Jazz Festival in Toronto, Canada on March 14th 1998. Volume one is on JCCD2033
