OF A SUNDAY MORN IN OLDE NEW ORLEANS - Kjeld Brandt and Jack McLaughlin

OF A SUNDAY MORN IN OLDE NEW ORLEANS - Kjeld Brandt and Jack McLaughlin
CD / Product Number: JCCD3102

Jack McLaughlin is a purist New Orleans jazz clarinettist who plays a metal clarinet and strives for the utmost simplicity in his playing. Kjeld Brandt leads his own band which is partly Danish and partly Swedish and playes in the New Orleans Style. The two men met at the 2004 New Orleans French Quarter Festival and decided to record an album together. They both love the simple melodies of the old hymns, so came together one Sunday morning for a complete session of hymns. Playing this music might be the best way of praying.
Full personnel are Jack McLaughlin and Kjeld Brandt on metal clarinets, John van Buuren banjo, Rachel Hamilton piano and Craig Goddner string bass.
