Walter 'Fats' Pichon was born in New Orleans, and though often described as a cocktail pianist, he had a solid background in classical music, jazz and everything in between. His time at the Boston Conservatory of Music was sponsored by the Gershwin Brothers! He was the ultimate entertainer and master of the keyboard. Tracks featured here include appearances with Luis Russell and his Burning Eight, King Oliver and his Orchestra, The QRS Boys as well as solo recordings. 26 tracks in total dating from 1929 to 1958!
