KID SHEIK and BROTHER CORNBREAD IN COPENHAGEN 1974

KID SHEIK and BROTHER CORNBREAD IN COPENHAGEN 1974
£12.99
CD / Product Number: JCCD3002

A souvenir of a wonderful tour of Scandanavia in 1974 by Kid Sheik Cola with special guest Joseph 'Brother Cornbread' Thomas, a New Orleans old stager and first class clarinet! The tour was a huge success and this CD was recorded in Copenhagen with Joseph Thomas, known in New Orleans as Brother Cornbread, who sang and also entertained audiences with his little dance. The Kid had to work hard to ensure that Cornbread did not get all the attention, and when you listen to the end result here, I think you will agree that both Kid Sheik and Brother Cornbread were seriously underrated. Perhaps they enjoyed life too much - jazz critics never did like musicians with a sense of humour! Sit back and enjoy!
The personnel are: GEORGE “KID” SHEIK COLA, Trumpet: 'BROTHER CORNBREAD' THOMAS, Clarinet: PETER NISSEN, Banjo and Leader: PETER GOETZ, Trombone: NIELS HENRIK ROSS PETERSEN, Bass: KEITH MINTER, Drums
