JIMMY DORSEY'S DORSEYLAND JAZZ BAND LIVE in the USA 1950 Volume 1

JIMMY DORSEY'S DORSEYLAND JAZZ BAND LIVE in the USA 1950 Volume 1
£12.99
CD / Product Number: JCCD3035

In the early 1930s, Jimmy Dorsey was the star of teh Great Ted Lewis Band. He and his brother Tommy then went on to greatness in the Swing Era. Even after their personal and professional fall-out, both led successful big bands. It is often argued that big brother Tommy's Big Band was a superior force on the scent. Both bands had smaller 'Dixieland' bands within the big bands. And it was here that Jimmy Dorsey settled all scores. While Tommy's Clambake 7 played to commercial interest, Jimmy's Dorseyland Jazz Band was one of the hottest dixieland jazz bands ever! Volume 2 is on JCCD3128
