This is a family band - Kurt Jensen on clarinet and tenor sax, his wife Nan Ehrenstrale on double bass and daughter Nina on banjo and vocals, with drummer Ronald Anderson. At Keswick 2004 they were joined by Brian Carrick (clarinet and tenor sax) and Eddie Bruhner (trumpet). Having two reed players, both of whom doubled on clarinet and tenor sax, gave rise to some interesting sound variations - two clarinets on some tracks, two tenors on other tracks, etc. The band's style is what one might call 'earthy New Orleans'.
